I wish my child’s father’s family will stop telling me to shave my 4 month old daughters hair. It’s so freaking annoying and ridiculous. And before anyone tells me “it stimulates hair growth” it does not actually. Your hair is going to be whatever it’s going to be whether you shave it or not. I had nice hair when I was born and my dads family also believes in the tradition of shaving a baby’s hair and it didn’t promote hair growth. I’m 23 years old with very thin hair and nothing works for it. I grew up with a lot of bad hair issues after that. My parents had to shave my hair multiple times after that again to “stimulate hair growth” because it never grew back properly. Till this day I still have issues with my hair. Just goes to show that shaving a baby’s hair does nothing but leave you with a bald baby. I wish they would just leave my baby alone. She’s so freaking young. You can’t even tell what a Baby this age’s hair would even be like. Majority of babies are bald at this age. There’s no need in tampering with her hair. If it’s going to be thick it will be and if it’s not then it’s not🙄🙄
