Has anyone ever had to file a sexual harrasment complaint at work?

It was about a month ago now that a coworker said something along the lines of " you must be good at giving head because the choker you wear is a black belt in dick sucking" he then showed me a meme stating the same thing. I told him I was not going to respond to that. Then he proceeded to show the store manager the meme. I was surprised he was dumb enough to show him, so I exclaimed "you showed him?!?" I was in shock. Then the store manager said "you are gonna get us fired" and that was the end of it. So I let all that sit and stew for about a week before I realized how uncomfortable it made me. I began to get extremely irritable while at work, and I wasn't comfortable going to the store manager about it because he was there and didn't do anything about it then. And the co Manager always has a bad attitude about something so I wasn't comfortable going to her about it. For a few weeks I kept asking shift managers for HR's number, and none of them got back to me. So finally this Friday I talked with the former co manager(who works at a different store now) because I actually trust him. He screenshot the conversation and sent it to the supervisor. Then yesterday as I was leaving I noticed the supervisor in the office, so I stopped and asked if I could get HR's number. She said"Oh they were supposed to talk to you yesterday before you left" then the store manager walks up apologizes and we start to talk about it. He was saying that I never told him I was uncomfortable. And I told him that it was because he was there, and didn't do anything about it then. They told me the person was going to be suspended. Then he says that I was the one who showed him the meme. I stopped him right there, telling him he was backpedaling and I did not show him the meme, it was the coworker, because I couldn't believe he was stupid enough to actually show him. It was back and forth for a moment before I got fed up and said I was leaving. As I'm walking out the co manager asks me what's wrong so I gave her a brief run down and told her my mother in law works at a law firm in Houston and that I may have to get in touch with them. I was extremely upset(hence talking about getting in touch with a lawyer). So yeah I'mim super upset about the whole situation. And now I don't feel comfortable around the store manager, the co manager and especially the coworker. My husband had to find HR's number for me and I will be calling Monday.(during their hours of operation) Has anyone else had to deal with sexual harrasment at work? This whole situation is bullshit and I feel trapped at my job because of it.
