Sex with the coil (Mirena)

I have had the IUD since January and have started having fairly irregular periods. I also think that having sex maybe irritates it and makes me bleed for a week after. Does anyone else have this? I am talking to the dr this week to see what’s normal or not but I would like to hear others stories.
