My son is almost 11 months old and just this last week he has started sucking on his hand/wrist/fingers to the point of giving himself hickey type marks. He only takes a pacifier for naps and sleep and has never been much of a thumb sucker. I’m a stay at home mom, there haven’t been any changes in his routine or other stressors that I can think of. He still doesn’t have any teeth, and doesn’t seem to be teething. He is acting completely normal: walking, talking, playing, nursing, eating, and drinking as usual,

and overall just constantly moving lol. Except that he randomly just starts sucking hard on his hand and wrist. Any ideas what could be going on? What am I missing??
