Just need to vent. Gestational diabetes sucks so much. My sugars have been good and diet controlled for the past 6 weeks because I’ve been basically starving myself to keep them under 120 after eating. I was slightly overweight when I got pregnant. I weighed about 175 and I’m 5’ 5”. I lost about 15 pounds in the first/second trimester because I was nauseated/vomiting so much and I could barely eat a thing. I have only gained about 5 lbs of it back at this point and I’m 33 weeks now and weighing about 165 pounds give or take a pound. My doctor even recently added a diagnosis of low weight gain during pregnancy. Now all of a sudden my blood sugars are starting to rise in between 120 and 130 after eating! I haven’t slacked on my diet and am eating the same things I was eating when they were under control! Even my fasting blood sugars have been abnormal the last couple of days. I’m so frustrated. I feel like I’m trying so hard and it’s just not good enough. Ugh. Sorry if this sounds so negative. I think I’m just losing motivation. Any advice is welcome. Thanks y’all.
