My daughter is starting daycare on september 3rd when I go back to work after summer break. This will be her first time being in group care. She has been home since we brought her home from the hospital. 6 weeks with me on maternity leave then 7 weeks with my husband (3 days a week) and our friend (2 days) all at our house.

I was talking to my friend about her daycare and she made a comment about me not taking her on her first day. Her daycare opens at 7 and I have to be at work by the absolute latest 750 (when the kids wall in). Her day care is half an hour from my school so logically I COULD drop her off. But I'm worried about traffic which I know is a bitch in the morning especially in the area I'm passing through.

I usually get to work around 715 and my husband doesnt have to be at work until 9. I feel like a bad mom for not wanting or being able to take her in on her first day.
