PCOS help!

So I was diagnosed with PCOS, I was put on metformin today. I have regular monthly periods and I do ovulation kits to show ovulation monthly, I’m 33 and have no acne or extra body hair. My only symptoms were weight gain and infertility. Next month we will be on clomid and doing IUI (round 2 for us). Anyone in a similar situation take metformin and have good results getting pregnant afterwards? And if so, how long did it take you to become pregnant after? I could really use some encouragement and hope! Help please!!
