Birth control methods?

I started birth control pills. I breastfeed & still started my period 8 weeks post partum. It was a normal period then once I started pills, I started having periods that lasted 10 days, etc. I stopped taking the pills but now I had two days of spotting and no period now. The exact same thing that happened when I was pregnant with my son. Lowkey worried but I’m not sure if it’s the breastfeeding making my period irregular? It’s just that my period has been normal since 8 weeks post partum besides it lasting longer on the pills. What are you using for birth control that has worked for you? Need some ideas but the idea of birth control bothers me due to all the hormones and whatnot. That’s why I did the pills bc I could stop if I notice weird stuff on it
