Can you nurse a baby after bottle feeding for 3 months
I want to nurse my baby so badly. I only got 3 days of it before giving up because nobody would help me. I waited 2 days for the LC to come to my room. I kept being told she would and she never did. So I saw another one at a different hospital she left the room as soon as SHE latched him on. Which didn't teach me how to do it so he continued to tear up my nipples and i just couldnt take the pain anymore. Well since then I've exclusively pumped for 3 months and I feel heartbroken because nothing has gone the way I expected. Not my pregnancy, my delivery and then the one thing I wanted most..nursing. I had tried occasionally with a nipple shield but he hated it and it came off so easy I couldn't get it to work for us. Then I found out I had thrush for quite some time and have been trying and trying to get it to go away. I'm trying the last possible thing for it now and in the hopes it goes away I have this slight hope to be able to nurse.
Is it possible after pumping this whole time?
And if so do you have any tips? I did the whole nipple even with nose and stuff they told me but it had never worked. His bottom lip is also back further and makes me wonder if that's part of the reason he didn't latch right in the first place. He isn't lip or tongue tied.
