Can someone get a skin infection from a brazilian wax ?

About a month ago, I went to get my first Brazilian wax. I usually shave or use hair removal cream. I decided to finally try the waxing method. I found a place on the groupon app. It had decent reviews, as well as 4 stars. So, from my judgment I trusted it. Well, Idk if I have a skin infection, a bunch of in-grown hair bumps, an allergic reaction or an STD. However, I do see some ingrown hairs. Some of the bumps I don’t see any hairs, just pink bumps with pus. I’m going to schedule an appointment with my GYN... I was wondering if anyone else has had this happen to them before and if I should be worried?
