Healing from egg retrieval, feel like crap!

Jena

So on Saturday I had my egg retrieval and they retrieved 44 eggs. I was in a lot of discomfort the before my retrieval. I had a hard time standing on my feet for a long period of time. On the day of my retrieval I experienced abdominal cramping and fullness. I couldn’t wait for them to get my eggs out! Finally, after my egg retrieval my doctor told me refrain myself from fried starchy foods and to stick with a high protein diet. She also told me that my ovaries are floating and to refrain from any physical activities to avoid a twisted ovary. I been doing some walking because It’s hard to stay in bed when you have a four year old. Today is day three of my recovery and I experienced sharp pains on the right side of abdomen that traveled to my kidneys. The pain lasted for about 30 minutes and I began to feel nausea but it went away after I took Motrin. I called my nurse and she said that cramping is normal and that it will take a few days to feel myself again and that it doesn’t sound like anything serious because I’m not bleeding. So far I am massively constipated, nothing I eat helps. I am on a high fiber, high protein diet and very low carb. I just can’t freakin 💩 poop. I’m Drinking tons of plain water, coconut water and lemon water. My belly is huge! I’m Super bloated and I must have gained A good 14 pounds since I began my shots. I am tired and my energy depletes quickly, I think it’s the side affect of the medication To control my overstimulated ovaries. When I pee I feel a bit of pressure but I can still pass urine without pain. I took miralax today hopefully it works and I can finally poop. I have OHSS ( overstimulated Ovaries) and I’m currently on medication for it. Everyday I feel different, some days are better than others. Please share your experience? Did anyone else suffer from OHSS? How long did it take to fully recover? What were you’re symptoms?
