How many ounces of wine?

I am wanting to have a glass or two of wine tonight. I have been doing some research and it looks like some say 6 ounces and some say 8 ounces is acceptable.  I am 220 pounds so just wondering which is okay to have? Also sorry if these questions are dumb but what do you mamas do if you have a few glasses. Do you wait 2 hours in between each or just pump then have a few. Just want to see what you all do, thank you! ❤

You can drink however much! If you feel like you would be fine to drive, you’re fine to nurse :)

I was told by a lactation consultant that it takes about 30 minutes for alcohol to reach your breastmilk so the best time to drink is while you’re nursing or pumping. Alcohol will clear your breastmilk the same rate as your blood so if you feel sober (1 drink/per hour) then there’s not enough alcohol in your breastmilk to impact the baby. So enjoy your wine mama!

When I first started breastfeeding, I would wait 2 hrs after the first drink to nurse. Now I follow the “if I’m ok to drive, I’m ok to nurse”.

Feed baby. Then drink right after. You’ll be fine to nurse by the time baby is hungry again. 
For the record: the official recommendation is to wait two hours per drink. And five ounces is a standard glass of wine.
