My son is 2 months old. He was born with laryngomalacia and had to have supraglottoplasty when he was 5 weeks old. Before surgery, he would struggle to take a bottle but managed to take 3 oz with a lot of patience. After surgery almost immediately after, he started taking 4oz no problem. He's still taking 4oz but now he's sleeping through the night. He went to the ENT yesterday for surgery follow up and shes happy about his breathing improvement but he hasnt gained enough weight. He was born 8lbs 14oz and he weighs 11lbs 3oz. So the doctor is having us increase his calorie count and we have to wake him up for a feeding in middle of the night. He has to have weekly weight checks. He sees the ENT in a month. Has anyone had to increase calories with their little one? I'm just worried if hes not getting enough calories and gaining, is he going to have to have to have a g tube?
