Has your cherubs tripled his/her birth weight and grown 10” in length since birth?

Question

Went for LO immunization last week only to be told that my LO needs to gain more.   I know that her weight and height gain has slowed a bit this month because she’s teething and often screams during meals/milk time.     I am now worried cause she now needs to gain about 1 kg (2.2 pound) and 3cm (1.2inches) in height for the next month or so.   Anyone else on the same boat?   Any tips or advice is appreciated.

My girl has gained exactly 10lb since birth and 7 inches in length 🤷🏻‍♀️ 17.11lb & 29in currently at 10m

I’d take it with a pinch of salt if your baby is happy and thriving. 
I was pushed into supplementing with formula when baby girl was 1 week old as she had lost too much weight since birth. I later found out she had lost 10g more than what they deem acceptable. 
Being combi fed really messed up breastfeeding and turned that into a 6 month long battle before baby full weaned herself from breastfeeding. 
Ironically within two weeks of being combi fed she was at the top of the weight curve and has been ever since. 
At her 9 month check up she told us that she’s still right at the top of the “acceptable” curve and we may have to be very careful about not over feeding her. 
Her daily food intake is as follows;
7am Breakfast Bottle
11am 200g savoury meal (meat/veg/potato) 
3pm 100g fruit
5:30pm a bit of whatever we have
7pm Bedtime bottle
Yeah I have a chunky baby but I have learned that the medical professionals are very good at stating figures and reading text books but pretty useless about relating to day to day life with a baby. So long as baby is happy and healthy and your not feeding them anything that is clearly too much or too little or unhealthy then I wouldn’t worry.

Mine was born 6lbs 14 ounces, 19inches. She’s 10 months as of Sunday and she’s 18lbs 11oz and 28 inches long.

You could give lots of healthy fats such as avocado, olive oil, etc to help with weight gain. However, my understanding is baby’s weight gain tends to slow down and isn’t as rapid as the first few months. My Ped said they just like to see them stay in the same growth chart/percentile. So they told you your LO needs to gain weight, did they provide any ideas on how to do that much in such a short time?

My son has only gained 11 lbs since he was born and grew about 9 inches. He started off almost 10lbs and 22inches long. He gained really fast at first and then slowed down. He’s still in the 65-70% for weight and 99% for height.

I've never heard that before but we definitely are nowhere near those figures! Gained around 8lb since birth and under 10 inches in length. Every baby is different and there is such a huge range of normal i really wouldn't worry if doctors have been happy. As long as baby is healthy and you're offering lots of nutritious foods I would let baby carry on at their own pace. I hope all of the responses puts your mind at rest that you're not alone 😊

They have to grow 10” before a year? I knew the goal was tripled birthweight but never heard of a height requirement. 
I highly doubt my daughter will triple before a year. She would have to gain over 2lbs in 2 months. She’s been barely gaining a pound per month since birth and growth slows down as the approach a year.
She has grown 8” so far.

Sarah was born at 5 lbs 6 oz, st year appointment last week shes about 16 lbs 10 oz, and was 17.5 inches at birth, and is 27.5 inches now. Her weight has slowed down a lot and they want us to walk in tomorrow to weigh her again and make sure shes gaining. Her dr and nurse just said to offer more high calorie snacks since shes so petite she probably got my high metabolism and is burning everything off now that shes more mobile.

He was born 8lbs and is now 24lbs at 10 months so he doesn't need to gain weight just stay around this weight he only has 2 bottles a day now but loves food I think every baby is different and as long as they aren't drastically loosing weight and as healthy I'd say their fine
