Benadryl?

I was prescribed Ambien (sleeping aid) since beginning of the year. I have trouble sleeping every now and then since I work nights but my body is a day shifter. I haven't been taking Ambien for about a month now and I heard from friends and read some articles about Benadryl being safe for pregnant woman to use for insomnia. Any of you used Benadryl during pregnancy?

Benadryl is on the list of approved medications during pregnancy my ob gave me at my first ultrasound. She also told me herself it was fine. I was having bad dizzy spells and she said it could be allergies that benadryl was safe. It should be fine.

I actually think ambien is safe if your doctor gives the ok. I’m still taking mine, and even with it I’m already struggling with sleep. Like clockwork I’m up at 3am everyday lol I can’t imagine even trying to sleep without it! Benadryl helps, but I always hated how groggy it made me feel in the morning.

Benadryl and Unisom are safe. Do a little research and ask your doc for personal surety.
