This morning when I dropped my daughter off at daycare, the person who is there in the morning kind of accused me of not letting my daughter play by herself at home. She said that they don't have time to sit with her all day and entertain her.

The thing is, she plays by herself all the time at home. I can plop her in the living room with a little bucket of toys and she plays on her own for at least 30-45 minutes, sometimes even longer. Obviously I am mostly in sight of her or peek in frequently, but I'm certainly not worried about her ability to play alone.

Has anyone else's LO struggled to play alone at daycare? Could there be something else going on? Is it a phase?
