What kind of bite is this?

My two year old hasn’t had any bug bites before that I recall but I noticed this today. Does it look like mosquito or possibly spider? We live by a lake so both are a possibility.

I can’t tell what kind of bite it is, but I’m allergic to bug bites  Just make sure to watch that red spot that’s coming off of it on the right side. I’ve had many times where a line has spread from my bite and I had to go in right away to get antibiotics. I just mark it with a pen to monitor the spreading. So just watch it and if it spreads definitely call the ped!

From my experience with spider bites they usually have two symmetrical holes, and they usually hurt but don’t really itch.
