Is eating seafood a sin?

Is eating crab and shrimp etc a sin? Someone said you can go to hell for that

Now the not eating of catfish certain seafood was done in the Old Testament and it just wasn't fish, it was pig, chicken, not wearing certain clothing etc..but that was a rule/law in time in trying to keep ppl separate. Those rules were about "obedience" that's why ppl disobeyed there were atonements not forgiveness..because under the law you weren't saved. So those rules were for THEM not US who are now in salvation and you must understand that this was NOT in the time of our Lord Jesus who is clearly in the New Testament.
In the New Testament the Holy Bible says every creature of God is good and nothing is to be refused if it be received with thanksgiving. I mean he did create ALL things..that's why now we PRAY for our food. Remember that the New Testament is an update to the Old. In the New Testament you'll see the/this "law"  is nowhere to be found because now it's about grace and love which gives you the understanding of repentance yet mercy.

If you’re following the Bible Literally, yes. So is wearing cotton and polyester together. The Bible is not literal. It is also human interpretation. That’s why there are so many arguments about how to practice Christianity and “handle” all of the “controversial” issues like abortion and homosexuality. I do not follow the Bible literally.

All the laws of the Old Testament are to show us our sinful nature and our great need for a savior. We aren’t capable of earning our salvation. We are saved by grace and not by works.

There is a church, that is considered a false church, that teaches bottom feeders are dirty and therefore are unclean for eating.  As a born angain Christian we believe Jesus changed the laws, and one of those is that there is no longer a difference between clean and unclean animals.  I think only the Jews still practice those laws.

If you could go to hell for something like eating a shrimp we would all be doomed. Getting into heaven has nothing to do with us being perfect and everything to do with Jesus being perfect. Its absolutely impossible to get it all right yourself.
Just follow Jesus best you can and learn to live him and others.
I think a lot of the Old Testament stuff could still be interesting to consider as there must be some reason it was said. Bottom feeders like shrimp are less healthy after all. I don’t think all of those are commandments for us right now though. I could absolutely be wrong, but that’s where there’s grace.

But we have to look at what it says in the old testment and why and look at what it says in the new testament and why.
