BV not going away

I need some advice or suggestions. I had BV and I went to see my doctor. She prescribed oral antibiotics. After finishing I got a yeast infection. She told me to do over the counter monistat. So I did, well behold my symptoms came back worst. She then prescribed a gel. Currently going to use. Has this happened to anybody? And how did you guys get rid of BV?
