Hello there!

So I recently had my kyleena iud put in about two months ago and honestly the appointment for insertion went totally fine. I didn’t really have that much pain and I was able to go about my normal daily activities with slight but normal period cramps every once in a while... However, now that I have completed two menstrual cycles since then, everything is SO much worse. My periods have been lasting about 20 days and I have debilitating cramps throughout those days that are almost like contractions (a cramp will come for about 30 seconds, then be gone for a few minutes after). I have never had severe cramps like this even on my normal period and when I went to my OB for my check-up, she said everything looks normal and I’m still adjusting to the iud.

Just wondering if I’m not alone and if anyone else has experienced this.. also if you’ve found any ways that are helpful when this is happening!
