Sour kinda stench?

My babe is about a week and a half old, and I keep noticing this sour milk stench??
He has been bathed a couple times, but I keep noticing this stench? I then thought maybe it was me! 
Not sure if it’s his diaper or what... 
maybe his breathe? When do I need to start trying to clean his mouth? No one mentioned anything about cleaning his mouth at birth..
My nose always gets the best of me and drives me nuts😫😫

Are you washing really well around his neck and in his armpits? I spend extra time cleaning my son around those areas because formula always gets stuck there and dries up

Also just just this out there but it could be his breath. My son also got that smell on his breath sometimes and the pediatrician said it was reflux.

Check all the little foldd.. you'd be surprised how far milk can travel..

You definitely want to use a wash cloth and or a swab and clean the babies mouth especially if you breastfeed because it can cause thrush in the baby and or yourself if you do boob to baby.

Omg yes there always seems to be weird curdled milk hiding somewhere in the neck folds with tiny babies. I feel like no matter how well I washed there I always inevitably missed a spot. Also if baby sucks his hands sometimes it gets weird between the fingers. My son used to suck on his hand and his hands would smell like gym socks by the end of the day. Someday we would do 2 or 3 baths to try to keep him clean.
