Does anyone know what’s goin on?!

So I am currently TTC. At 8dop when i wiped after using the toilet there was some pink blood on the paper, i thought my period had arrived early so used a tampon but when i removed it it was only a little brown creamy discharge on the tampon. I have never experienced this before. My period was supposed to arrive yesterday and my temp dropped too but i’ve just had some creamy brown discharge. I did a pregnancy test a day before my period was due and it came back negative, probably too early but would one day make a difference anyway?! Because my temp drop and the negative test i don’t think i am pregnant but not sure what’s going on!

My period is late and i’ve never had any bleeding at 8dpo before or experienced this brown discharge, any ideas what’s goin on?! Is it worth doing test again?!
