Glucose test at 13 weeks?

Question

I had GD with my first pregnancy. I’m pregnant again and my doctor wanted test me early. So I took the glucose test at 13 weeks and I passed!! Has anyone ever passed it early but failed later? My doctor wants me to take another one at 25ish weeks. Scared I’ll fail that one!

Yeah it’s common. The early test is mostly to see if you might have had undiagnosed regular diabetes type 2. But true gestational diabetes doesn’t normally kick in til past 22 weeks.

I took the 1 hour at 9 weeks and passed. Took it again at 24 weeks and failed the 1 hour.  I decided to not do the 3 hr and start management for gestational diabetes and my ob was okay with that.  I did not want to expose my body to more unnecessary sugar if my dr was okay with skipping the 3 hour.  I meet with my diabetes educator next tuesday.

Yeah all my bloods were great but failed at 28 weeks. This is my second pregnancy with it too but I was on insulin by now with the last one - am 35 weeks now and still diet managed.

I took the 1hr at 16 weeks and passed. I then took it again at 26 weeks and failed by 3 pts. Took the 3 hr test.. passed expect for the 2nd hr but all my numbers were boarder line. I had an ultrasound around 29 weeks and my daughter's belly is measuring big. So I wanted to be proactive and said just treat me as i have GD. All my test are boarder line.

I passed 8 weeks, 14 weeks, 19 weeks, 26 weeks. Took another today at 32 weeks and failed 😞
