Why do we group together miscarriage, still birth, and baby death?

I understand that we are all grieving, but these griefs are all different.

It has felt so insensitive when people ask me how I’ve been since “since my miscarriage”. Not because the pain of a miscarriage is any less but because I listened to my daughter cry and watched her lips turn blue.

I did not have a miscarriage. My baby died.
