Job concerns with maternity leave

So I started a new part time at the end of May this year and I'm also a full time student. I know fmla is only for full time or part time having worked 1250 hours. I won't make that because when the baby is due I will have only been there 10-11 months. Do I have any rights or can they fire me if I'm off the 12 weeks? They're taking short term disability out of my check..will that cover anything? Any HR people have any answers?
