Nose piercing closing?

I got my nose pierced a month ago and it has had a stud in. While mindlessly fidgeting with it last night, I accidentally took it out. I couldn’t get it back in. While trying to put it in, I noticed what feels like a large bump in my nose. Is this normal? Also, is it possible it is already closing in just a few hours?

A fresh piercing can definitely start closing that quick. As for the bump I’m not sure. If you want to save the piercing I’d go to the shop and have them put it back in ASAP. And don’t fiddle with it until it’s fully healed. You don’t want to touch fresh piercings

Mine starting closing 10 mins after i took it out! The bump is irritation. Put some sea salt on it

The bump is probably from irritation considering you were playing with an unhealed piercing. You can treat that with some diluted tea tree oil and some say you can also use a sea salt water mixture, but I have never used that for bumps and am not using it for my bumps currently as I’m using the tea tree oil method. I would say your hole is probably closed now though. A month old piercing isn’t meant to be without jewelry and the healing process wasn’t even halfway complete. I ripped my nose piercing out in my sleep 2 days after getting it done and the top hole was open but the inside is where I had to force it through a little but it wasn’t horrible.
