I like the name Allie, but I have a niece named Alexandria. Sometimes they call her Lex, Lexi, or Alex. I don't think it sounds similar but my husband thinks it does.

My sisters name is Alexandria (Lexi) her roommate was Ally (Alyssa) never thought they sounded remotely the same they never went by their names just Ally and Lexi

lol allie is my name!! I personally don’t think they sound the same. & plus when they get older & are together you can say “allie and Alex” and it sounds fine :)
