Trimester confusion?

Doesn’t the 3rd trimester start at 28 weeks? The app said welcome to the 3rd trimester and I am only currently 26w1d. I swear every app/chart is so different! I get so confused 😂

To make it easier for you, you take 40 and divide it by 3. It should give you 13.3, which means every trimester has 13 weeks and maybe 2 days. So if we were to speak technically, you'll be on your 3rd trimester at 27w2d. Hope's this clarifies everything for you.

I consider it the third trimester when you have 3 months left because you are 2/3 of the way through.

As a labor nurse, 28 weeks is considered 3rd trimester.  Looking online is confusing, some say 27 weeks and some say 28 weeks.  Ask your OB they consider 28 weeks 3rd trimester.
