Weight Loss During + After Pregnancy

Is anyone making moves NOW to help lose weight after baby is born that wasn’t doing so before?

Backstory: I used to be very fit. I used to workout everyday, drink the protein, track the macros, etc.

Then I had school + wedding planning, thyroid surgery, a wedding, got pregnant, lost it, emotional eating, got pregnant again and here I am. I’ve gained 50 lbs across these last few years. And for the last two years I’ve been so uncomfortable with my body.

I’m 19+5 weeks right now. I’m down 12-15 lbs mostly from morning sickness and no appetite. My doctor said everything is great with my pregnancy but he’s concerned that I haven’t gained any weight. At my last ultrasound, baby measured perfectly. So he let it go after that.

When I first got pregnant I told myself I was going to be fit and workout every day before morning sickness hit and I was going to eat a certain way and NO that didn’t happen. But I’ve been paying monthly for a prenatal workout plan that coordinates your workouts with how

far along you are. I really want to start doing this. It’s not like I’m lifting weights or running so I feel like it’s okay. I’ll consult with my doctor on the 11th before I really get into it. But has anyone started their “weight loss journey” before they birthed? It’s more so for me to get some of my muscle back more than losing weight right now. I just don’t want to have another uncomfortable summer. Any tips/advice helps!
