Wearing My Grandmother’s Wedding Dress (UPDATE 2)

Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve always LOVED my grandmas wedding dress. She always would tell me someday when I get married, the dress would be mine.

She passed away two years ago, but I finally get to wear her dress.

She was much smaller than I, so the dress will be altered and dropped down about two inches so it fits right, and the inner lining of the sleeves will be removed so the sleeves are all lace.

This weekend was the first time I got to try in on, since I couldn’t fit into the first time. But all the size adjustments and alterations have been done with the dresses own fabric.

I am so in love and happy that she kept the dress sealed and protected for 60 years so that I could wear it. ❤️

Thank you ladies so much for your kind words! I go in on Saturday to try the dress on again after alterations.

I got to try on the dress again today. It will be completed next weekend!! Here is the progress so far. The sleeves are the last step being worked on, that’s why only have one. Lol.
