Church problems. All opinions needed.

Can I get some opinions on this?

My mom and I were going to a church for awhile and I stopped going for my own reasons about a year ago. Recently this church has been doing some stuff I don't feel is right.

1. They recently had a 5 year pastoral anniversary celebration where they asked a $500 donation from each family to pay for the celebration. Only people involved in the planning of this was the pastors family.

2. They recently had a back to school party for the community, which again, they only wanted the pastor's family involved in planning. They cancelled Sunday service for the party.

3. They're always cancelling midweek service so they can plan parties for the church.

4. If you haven't already noticed the pattern, they only allow their own family to be involved in the planning of anything or for any part of the church. Dad is the pastor. Mom does sunday school, older kids do praise and worship. They will however allow those that aren't in the family to come clean the church before Sunday service.

5. Instead of sticking to a sermon plan, the pastor always just goes off on tangents where he basically tells everyone what they're doing wrong in church and in their walk with Christ. He's even said in service that if you're just in church to be there, that he would rather you leave and make room for people that want to be there. (There's more than enough room during services for visitors)

6. The pastor believes that him and his family should be able to live off of what's given in tithes and offerings. I've always believed that goes to the ministry first, and what's left can be budgeted twoards pastoral salart.

I dont feel like this church is doing anything more than making it all about them and taking the center of attention from Jesus and putting it on them and their family. Thoughts?
