When did you tell your parents they were going to be grandparents?

My husband and I are trying to decide if we go ahead and tell our parents that we are expecting or should we wait and tell them at the same time we tell the rest of the family and friends after I'm 12 weeks. What did so of you do or plan to do?

We're waiting  to tell the grandparents until after the first ultra sound. I'll be 10 weeks. We're making bags that say "grandparent survival kits" with baby blanket and pacified and a rattle and other cute little things.

I told my mom at 6am after I got my bfp... 1st baby wasnt planned. But now 9weeks 3days on baby #3 and I just told my parents yesterday, but that was because I am trying to plan a girls week with my mom before this one is born, and so I figured she needed to know why I was rushing it

I told mine at 5 weeks, because I knew I would need them regardless of the outcome. they're my best friends and biggest supporters. as for my grandparents, I'm waiting until after I hear the heartbeat!

We told our parents last weekend (7weeks). I just feel like not telling anyone about our excitement for fear of miscarriage/embarrassment is almost willing it to happen. That's just me personally- I totally understand the logic behind waiting. I just don't have that kind of will power haha. I just don't even let miscarriage cross my mind if I can help it, because I feel like the more that's in your head and you stress about it, the more likely you are to cause it.

We told our parents and immediate family right away. We're a close family and if I had a loss they would all know that too. we're waiting to tell anyone else until after u/s

After you pass 12 weeks your risk of misscarrige lower to a 2% chance. I feel like that's when I will tell them.
