Afraid of the dark

Alexis

So my son started noticing the difference between light and dark a few weeks ago. At first it was a joke. Because he would walk around saying "it's dark in there" and smile, then we'd all laugh. Now it's not a joke at all. He now sleeps with the brightest light in his room on and has started getting up in the middle of the night to sleep with my mom or my husband and I. My husband doesnt care but I'm NOT a cosleeper plus I'm 8 months pregnant lol if he doesnt get to be in my moms bed or ours he'll scream and cry until someone wakes up. Its starting to get pretty ridiculous. He's now wanting the lights on in the livingroom and kitchen. I dont want him to be scared but I cant keep all the lights on in the house and I know the bright light in his room is definitely disturbing his ability to sleep through the night. I'm totally lost at this point. If anyone has any tips that have worked or are working it would be greatly appreciated.
