Open relationships: would you accept it if your SO wanted to bring someone else into the relationship?

So, my husband has been bringing up the idea of inviting someone else into our marriage. Another female. I myself am not bisexual and I’m not sure how I feel about this? Part of me feels like I could be accepting, however, the idea scares me. 
What are your thoughts? I know it works for some people.

My biggest concern here would be: why does he want another female in ur relationship? If if’s just for sex, I’d prefer to have a threesome probably. I think it would really depend on his reason for such. I don’t think I’d be able to be in a polygamist relationship, but an open relationship is pretty common and I have been in one before - but we never saw any other people, it was more of a “freedom” we both needed as we were having a lot of doubts about our relationship yet we still cared a lot for each other. Think about your situation and realise if this is something you want to do and why is he requesting this, but if you can’t agree to it - i doubt you can just sort out this whole “issue” by shoving it under the carpet and forgetting about it. You’ll have to work this one out together... or separately.

Is this just an open relationship or would it be considered as a polyamorous relationship? (Is this person a come and go or a here to stay?) You don't have to be interested in women for her to be able to stay, and if you or both of you do come to the conclusion that it is okay, maybe it would also be acceptable for you to have another man. It is kind of unfair if he gets so chose another woman if you are not bisexual or arent interested in exploring.

Open relationships are just an excuse for people to fuck other people, which to me-isn’t a relationship. It’s an excuse to cheat but with your permission so he doesn’t feel bad about it. I’d be mother fucking pissed if my husband asked me that. What’s the point of being together.

Nope had let someone I trusted female into my relationship and it played a big part in ruining my relationship and myself mentally.  It may sound good but in most cases it never does good to the relationship unless you both are for sure strong bonded together.

It’s funny you say that because my friend just experimented with a married couple last week. But- anyway- there’s nothing wrong with it AS LONG AS YOURE OK WITH IT- but I personally would never allow it. I’d never judge anyone for it at all, but it’s not for me.
