How involved should she be...

My wife and I, a lesbian couple, have discussed NI_sex to conceive. She wants to try it equally as much but I am the one getting pregnant. I want her to completely involved, such as my making love to her while he inseminates me. But she said she doesn't know if she is comfortable with me doing that. She just wants me to lay my head on her lap or something. Is it weird that I feel like she should want to be more involved?
