Passed glucose still on diet?!

Question

I failed my 1 hour by 5 points. My Dr said to eat and drink like normal before the test so I did. 
I passed my 3 hour test and wasn't even close to failing yet when my nurse called she said my doctor wants me to avoid all sugar and carbs! 
Is this silly??? I mean....I looked online at my scores. It's not like I was even cutting it close.

I'd call for clarification. I failed the 1 and passed the 3 and my doc said to go celebrate with some pie.

Sounds like your doctor screwed you when he said to eat like normal before the 1 hr test. What if you usually eat cereal, pancakes, a bagel or breakfast sandwich? That was bad advice. I personally think you don’t have to be that strict now.

I passed my 1 hour with flying colors, but then she had me check my levels and watch my diet for two weeks here recently. Sometimes there are certain foods that make it worse than you realize. I go back on Wednesday and we will see if I have to keep it up or not

I mean, I’d follow doctors orders for sure. Maybe he sees you still at risk for developing GD issues

Did you ask why? My OB told me I could continue eating like normal once I passed my 3 hour....
