advice for teen mom with colic baby?

hi i’m a new teen mom with my first baby girl! i believe she’s suffering from colic because a couple times a week around 6, 7 pm she would cry non stop, her crying often sounding like she needs to poop.. her diaper would be changed, she’s nice and fed, not hot at all, i’m rocking her and she’ll still be crying :( any advice to help sooth colic? she’s also 4 weeks old! one month on the 28th ❤️

Ah the witching hour! Not necessarily colicky, but babies now general. My daughter was the same. Around 7pm she would be insanely fussy until we went to bed around 9. every single night. She grew out of it after a few weeks but they are brutal!

Swaddling and white noise helped my girl. Only thing you can do is wait it out... I know it's soooo hard. Also colic probiotics drops work wonders but they're expensive. Like 30 dollars a bottle. Definitely worth it though. It regulates their little systems and helps get rid of any gas or pains.

We went through that too. Honestly the only thing that worked was heat, right before the witching hour I'd lay down on the couch with her on me and put a blanket over her. Some nights she'd sleep through it. It is extremely rough, hang in there . Ours ended right at 12 weeks. My SIL did showers with hers and swore by that.

When my son had his witching hour it would last from about 5pm to 7 or 8. The few things we found that helped were taking him for walks and having a nice warm bath. The bath would warm him up and relax him before we put him to bed. The walk got him fresh air which tired him out.
