ECV???

Has anyone had one ? Scheduled for one in a week. Freaking out. Please share your experience!

Ok sooooo here is everything I know. The risk of the complications are low however they are severe if they happen that why they do it at L&D and only when baby is full term.
No eating or drinking for 8 hours prior. You go in the give you a shot to stop/prevent contractions, they do a non-stress test, blood draw and insert and IV. I have heard some ladies got epidurals but they wasn’t even offered to me so idk.
They did an ultra sound before and during to help guide and ensure baby was still breech. They used hands and fists my ob and a helper to push baby up out of my pelvis and turn her. I have a high pain tolerance and it was one of the most painful things I have experienced ever...but for perspective baby’s heart rate wasn’t dropping and she was tolerating it well and so was I so we tried for 45min. I don’t think most people take that many attempts or tolerate that long.
After the do another non-stress and monitor for contractions before releasing you. 
I had the shakes bad from no food and the shot, so I ate and took a couple hour nap when I got home. After that I felt fine minus bruising on my stomach for a few days. 
Mine was not successful she got close and then went right back to her fav spot. Our scheduled c section went well and everyone is healthy and safe.
Hope this helps, I would deff take the whole day off and have someone drive you, just in case. Your body releases a lot of adrenaline and it is very exhausting. Also try your best to not tense up. Deep breaths and keeping palms open helped me.

Mine this morning was successful!! Dr got him turned transverse then baby went rest of the way head down on his own. Procedure took under ten minutes. My baby is large so lots of discomfort when he was transverse but nothing unbearable. I’ve had a few surgeries before though so can handle it. They had trouble getting an IV in me as usual so I was stuck many times. They drew blood but did not give me a shot or any meds through the line just kept it open in case. No epidural etc either.
