Hahaha it’s because there is no clear cut answer and depends on how you divide up the pregnancy. Technically 40 weeks times 2/3 is 26.667, which is approximately 26 weeks 5 days. Many people round that to 27 weeks, some (including this app) round that down to 26 weeks. Some people prefer to divide the known pregnancy, which is 36 weeks, so 36 times 2/3+ 4 (to account for the part of pregnancy when you don’t typically know you’re pregnant) is 28 weeks. It really doesn’t matter... sometimes between 26 and 28 weeks you can say you’re in the third. After that it just depends on how you divide it up and which trimester you want to be the longest.
