Changing my mind on the iud??

I’m suppose to get my iud Friday but now I don’t want to and I’m afraid the doctors office will be mad about me changing my mind! What should I do😭 I have some anxiety and get upset over things like this.

I changed my mind after my doctors office had already ordered it. I was getting stressed out about them getting mad too but they said no big deal and to call them when I was ready.

Call and let them know now.  They will not be upset, just don’t wait until the last minute.

Call and let them know you don't want the IUD anymore. Cancel the appointment completely if you don't want any birth control, or ask if you can keep the appointment or reschedule if you want to discuss other options. I'm sure this isn't the first time they have dealt with this.

My old hospital didn't keep them on hand unless someone asked for one so would have to order them in. I could see them being upset if I changed my mind in that scenario. But if they keep them there then they just don't use it so no biggy
