Weird period

I’ve had a light flow since Sunday, and expected period Monday.

By light I mean when I wipe there’s pink blood, but in the toilet there’s drops of bright red. Has this happened to anyone before? I’m visiting dr soon, but just wanted to know if anyone has had this happen and what it turned out to be for them (my period has been pretty irregular lately)
