I’m pregnant with my husband and I’s first child and we will be homeschooling. When I tell people “oh yes, we’ll be homeschooling” the first stupid, ignorant thing that comes out of people’s mouths is “Well I’m sending my child to public school so they can get proper socialization” Or “don’t you worry they won’t be able to socialize with other kids” imagine if I said something like “well I’m homeschooling my child because I don’t believe in having other people raise my kids” The audacity! My husband and his 6 other siblings were all homeschooled and let me tell you, none of them have a problem with “socializing”. My husband is very assertive and very sociable and has no problem and never had a problem making friends. Gag me with a spoon next time someone says something so idiotic to me.
