Angry 15 month old... phase?

Question

When my 15 month old doesn’t get her way she throws a tantrum. This usually consists of angrily throwing toys and trying to hit or kick me. I know lots of kids throw tantrums but I was wondering if this is a hint of what’s to come? Am I going to have a child who deals with anger problems when she gets older? Or is this just a toddler phase?  TIA

it’s a toddler phase. toddlers aren’t able to process their emotions rationally so they act out. start teaching her now how to properly handle her feelings and work through them and it will get better in time. i think most toddlers go through this phase.

Perfectly normal stage shes going through just make sure your consistant and atick to disaplinary. Do not let her get away with hitting or kciking she must learn its totally not acceptable.

I’d say it’s a phase. My daughter went through one similar where she would throw things or try to hit me. I would tell her “I don’t hit you, so you don’t get to hit me” and if she tried again, I put her in a time out in her crib for a couple minutes. This went on for at least a month or two but she was slowly improving. I was able to ask her “does mama hit you?” And she’d answer no “then you don’t hit mama” then she finally just stopped. The throwing things out of anger is hard though, I try to tell her “we don’t throw things when we’re angry, but you can stomp your feet” hasn’t really worked out though. She’s 3 now and still occasionally does it but not nearly as bad.

I think she should be fine as long as she's taught how to regulate her emotions.
