2 year old exposed to Herpes

I’ve had HSV1 ever since I could remember. I HATE it. I have 2-4 breakouts a year. Usually during summer and winter when the weather irritates my skin or in times of extreme stress. I have one at the moment and I have been putting chap stick on around it. Not on it, but around it and I had it sitting on my table and I figured my 2 year old couldn’t open it on his own but he did and I caught him putting it on. It touched his lips for a second and I took it away and threw it in the trash. I wiped his mouth off instantly as well. I feel like the shittiest mom. I have tried so hard to not expose him and I always practice good hygiene as in washing my hands before and after his diaper changes, no kissing on the lips or at all when I feel an outbreak coming. Should I take him to the doctor? I googled it and it said he should be fine but I hate myself for not being careful enough. I don’t know what to do here, I’m just hoping and praying he doesn’t catch it.
