Changing periods, Fibroids?!

My last three periods have been completely different than ever before. Normally a week before my boobs start to hurt pretty severely and then cramp about the first 48 hours of my period and have what I would think is normal bleeding. Now the last three have been awful. I have no prior symptoms but it just comes and then within 12 hours or so I get these what I call contractions. They last about 2-5 minutes and are some of the most intense things ive ever felt. Also my bleeding has gotten way worse and clotting more than I ever have. The contraction things also make me sweat and feel sick to my stomach. I had a friend mention fibroids because she had had them. Also I know they’re hereditary and my mom, her sister, and my grandma have all had them. Yes I’ll being going to gyno but just wanted to see if anyone else had ideas one what could be going on? !
