Got engaged two months ago today on my birthday. Wedding isnt for a good two more years as a we want time to get everything in a row not just for the wedding but our lives in general.

I am the type of person that plans ahead however and already have magority of it planned out.

My question is has anyone else had their mother be their maid of honor? She is the closest person to me and it would mean the world to have her standing beside me as I get married. But I'm unsure if it would be looked at as weird and if anyone else has ever done this? Thanks.
