To travel alone or not / newborn

I’m due in January and my friend is due in March. I’m having a baby shower in November and my friend plans to have hers in February. We live in different states. She has established that she will come to mine. But she also expects me to come to

Hers. I really don’t want to miss it but at the same time idk how I feel about traveling with a newborn so soon. Should I just go by myself for the weekend? Or take the baby with me ? The distance is about an hour 1/2 plane ride there and back. What would you do?
