Communication in a relationship is really difficult and confusing! WHY does it have to be so hard?! Especially when you can't speak what's on your heart without being told "here we go again" always want to say your say!
* HOW do you communicate in your relationship without having it to be a huge fight where you shout, swear and say nasty / hurtful things... HOW!!? 😢

Learning how to communicate effectively begins at an early age. Children with authoritarian parents do not typically learn good communication skills. They are not taught how to talk through a conflict. Instead they learn to avoid conflict altogether or to yell and verbally attack. It takes practice to undo those kinds of habits. It also takes a level of vulnerability (to let someone express an issue they may have with you) without feeling defensive or firing back at them. Some couples are able to navigate these issues on their own. Others benefit from couples counseling to help them find better ways of communicating with each other.

I know I use a lot of "I" language. "I feel" "I think" Instead of "you" You're feelings can't be wrong and using "I" instead of "you" helps the other person to not feel attacked.
