Does it matter what kind of unisom I take?

Just started on the unisom and realized I’m taking the diphenhydramine. Is it pretty much the same thing?

I took diphenhydramine every night my entire pregnancy with my son to sleep. I am also taking it every night with this one. There's nothing wrong with it. The other kind is used for nausea.

It’s the doxylamine succinate ones you want if you see referring to helping morning sickness.

No. Make sure to get the sleep tabs not the gel ones. They’re made with different Ingredients. I made the same mistake at first

The other one is the one you're supposed to take.
My understanding is that the one you have is likely to be fine but it's not been studied/reported safe - - don't take my word for it though - - I'd call your OB office & ask a nurse.
