My father got a girl pregnant in high school and that was all the information I had till yesterday. Well I got my AncestryDNA results back and found out I have a half sister who was adopted out. I’ve been talking with her and just enjoying this new connection. She recently got diagnosed with breast cancer and wanted to learn about her birth family. I asked my mom about her and she had the same knowledge as me. I asked her if I should tell my dad and she said no because he would say that this lady is just scamming me and deny her existence. I feel like she deserves to know about her birth family but I don’t want to upset anyone.
